Pop Art Packages!
Our talented 5th grade classes learned about POP art in art class. Our students were challenged to create a sensational three-dimensional product package of their own. Our pop art packages are funny, glamorous and sensational! Each student aimed to create a very popular product of his/her own. Wonderful job 5th grade!

Amazing Animal Vessels!
One of our 4th grade art clubs created beautiful animal vessels, while learning about the stages of clay! Our students created a sketch of their favorite animal and turned it into a vessel (a vessel is a container). Great work 4th grade art club!

Dynamic Dioramas!
5th grade has been busy learning about Dioramas in art class. Our students were encouraged to create a three-dimensional model of their ideal bedroom/interesting living space. Our students were challenged to imagine and create their own three-dimensional furniture pieces out of flat paper scraps! These rooms not only look cool, but they also tell us a little about the artists who created them. Great job 5th grade!

Kindergarten Colors!
Our kindergarten classes are learning all about the primary colors in art! Our students were encouraged to create some beautiful paintings using ONLY the primary colors. Thank you kindergarten class for adding some color to our lives!

Cool and Warm-Colored Creatures!
4th graders are learning about cool and warm colors in art! Our talented students are creating spectacular creatures in warm/cool-colored schemes. I will be sure to add some pictures of the finished products!

Kahlo-inspired self-portraits!
Our 4th graders are creating fantastic self-portraits done in the style of Frida Kahlo! Our students were encouraged to represent an emotion of their choice (happy, sad or angry) and use colors and facial expression to convey their visual message to the viewer. Our students are doing an excellent job learning about proportion and our featured artist, Frida Kahlo. Awesome job everyone!

Jackson Pollock (1st Grade Featured Artist)
Our first graders are learning about American Abstract artist, Jackson Pollock! Our first graders are having fun creating some very strange-looking abstract artworks. These mixed-media artworks are complete with some Pollock-style drip painting!

Frida Kahlo (4th Grade Featured Artist)
Our 4th grade students are learning about self-portraits and proportion in art class. Our featured artist is Frida Kahlo. Frida Kahlo was a unique Mexican artist who became well-known for her passionate self-portraits. Our students are encouraged to create a self-portrait that conveys a certain emotion of their choice.

Look at our books!
The 3rd grade art club created some beautiful accordion books in art class! Our students wrote about their interests and added pictures, drawings and glitter to decorate their very own books! Who says books can't be art?

George Segal (5th Grade Featured Artist)
Our 5th grade students are learning about artist George Segal and his strange sculptures. George Segal made major contributions to the world of three-dimesional art. Segal's white cast sculptures are strange and unusual because they often depict ordinary people doing ordinary things. Our 5th grade students are encouraged to create a human figure/sculpture (in the color of their choice) doing something ordinary. Our students are also learning about the importance of proportion in art.

5th Grade Clay Creature Vessels
Our 5th grade art club learned all about the stages of clay! Our students have morphed a human with their favorite animal to create unusual ceramic creature vessels. Great work 5th grade art club!!!
